Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field. • 3–5 years of experience designing mechatronic systems, automation equipment, or production‑automation solutions. • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD). • Experience with electronics and motion control, including motor/drive systems, sensors, and embedded controllers/PLCs. • Hands‑on experience with fabrication, machining, measurement tools, and precision mechanical assembly. • Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills with a continuous‑improvement mindset. • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree or higher in a related field. • Hands‑on experience with electrical integration, including soldering, cable fabrication, and electrical measurement. • Experience in optics, laser systems, semiconductor equipment, or other precision manufacturing environments. • Experience with cleanroom manufacturing, vacuum systems, or optics handling. • Familiarity with safety standards (machine guarding, interlocks, CE/UL) and regulatory compliance. • Experience or familiarity with photonics/laser technologies used at Attalon. For California, the hourly base pay range for this role is $104,914 - $141,428 per year. Please note this range is provided as a general guideline.
