About the Role We are seeking an Optician I (HSPP) for 2nd Shift to support our programs. These operators will play a key role in expanding capacity on both existing and new equipment, ensuring production goals are met with precision and efficiency. Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • 1+ years of experience in optical fabrication or related manufacturing environment • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards • Basic computer skills for data entry and process documentation Preferred Qualifications • Experience with High-Speed Polishing Processes (HSPP) • Familiarity with precision optical components and coatings • Previous experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles Responsibilities • Operate and maintain high-speed polishing equipment for optical components • Ensure compliance with production schedules and quality standards • Perform inspections and measurements to verify component accuracy • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and optimize processes • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used For California, the hourly rate for this position is: $21.29 - $28.11 per hour (plus shift premium) Please note this range is provided as a general guideline.
