Donovan Marine New Orleans, LA 70123 Rate per hour Depends own experience - Full-time Full Job Description Put your crane repair expertise to work on specialized equipment that keeps marinas operating. We’re looking for an experienced Crane Technician to join our team and help ensure shuttle lifts and marine travel lift cranes perform safely, reliably, and efficiently. We are currently seeking a motivated applicant who can work well with others and thrives in a dynamic work environment to join our service team. This job has competitive pay depending on your level of experience. Experience is preferred; However, General electrical and mechanical skills are required. Responsibilities: • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair shuttle lift and marine travel lift cranes. • Perform hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and structural repairs. • Complete preventative maintenance, inspections, and safety checks. • Service and repair crane systems in the shop, at marinas, and in the field. • Identify equipment issues and complete repairs efficiently and safely. • Ability to work with minimal to no supervision • Assist in managing projects as assigned • Travel occasionally for the company to work at other locations • Follow all of Donovan Servicer & Repair operational policies • Any other duties as needed or directed by management as it relates to Donovan Service & Repair operations • Donovan Service & Repair is a 24-hour, operation and overtime is typically required. Qualifications: Physical • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs for extended distances • Ability to work in any and all adverse weather condition • Ability to climb ladders, stairs and gangways up to 25 feet in height • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and work above head for extended periods of time • Ability to operate Donovan Service & Repair vehicles in a safe manner Practical Experience • Previous experience in electrical service industry • Good communications skills • Professional manner in dealing with other employees, management and customers • Organizational Skills • Basic mechanical skills Personal Background • Must be capable of acquiring valid TWIC • Must have valid driver’s license • Must have clean driving record with no DWI convictions • Must pass a criminal background check • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test Full Compensation Package Available to include: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance • Company truck Schedule: • 8 + hour shift • Day shift plus some weekends & nights • Overtime Education • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
