Minimum Qualifications: • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record as required by state regulations. • Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a healthcare or client transportation setting. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact respectfully and compassionately with clients and staff. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience driving in a healthcare or behavioral health services environment. • Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns in the LBHS service area. • Ability to operate wheelchair-accessible vehicles and assist clients with mobility challenges. • Additional endorsements or licenses relevant to passenger transport. Responsibilities: • Safely operate LBHS vehicles to transport clients, staff, and supplies to and from designated locations according to scheduled routes and appointments. • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any mechanical issues promptly. • Assist clients with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing support as needed to ensure their comfort and safety. • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and transportation logs in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and LBHS policies to promote a secure transportation environment. • Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and clients to coordinate transportation schedules and address any concerns or changes. • Ensure cleanliness and routine maintenance of vehicles to uphold health and safety standards.
