Job Summary: Valiant Global Defense is seeking a self-motivated Specialized Maintenance Worker to provide daily facility upkeep, training support and readiness in highly fluid Government client environment. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Duties will include, but may not be limited to: • Provide facility grounds and building maintenance; identifying deficiencies, repair solutions, and recommending appropriate parts required to ensure continuous operation and safety for co-workers and students • Provide routine landscaping and lawn maintenance on 200 acres of facility • Responsible for seasonal HVAC inspections, routine preventive maintenance and operations; buildings’ lighting repairs to workshop, classroom, offices and other indoor and outdoor training facilities sites • Responsible for daily company vehicle safety and preventive maintenance inspections; recommend required repairs to our vehicle maintenance shop • Support company and training needs by providing range materials design, construction, maintenance and repair, cleanup, and safety standards pre and post training courses • Responsible for operation of all automotive repair shop equipment, forklifts, front loaders, backhoe, and other equipment needed to support the diversity of maintenance operations on site. • Maintain a positive working relationship with other employees, to promote teamwork and mutual support. • Assume responsibility and care for equipment, tools, and materials while conducting daily maintenance procedures • Assist and perform other duties as assigned or needed in support of training and instructors • Must possess a minimum of 10 years’ experience as heavy equipment operator and general facility maintenance. • Must have extensive knowledge in firearms (Pistol and rifles) safe handling and operations; ammunition types, transportation, handling and safe storage requirements • Must be legal in the State of Colorado to possess and handle a firearm in support of company operations; cannot be convicted of a felony or misdemeanor domestic violence • Must have experience building and repairing wood and steel range targets and other static and removable range systems • Must have a safe driving record and be able to operate motor vehicles and other heavy equipment in accordance with OSHA, DoT, and CDOT safety requirements • Employment with Valiant is contingent upon a favorable background check, to include no serious criminal or financial problems in the past seven years. • Must be sufficiently physically fit to perform necessary job tasks and work in variable environmental conditions, indoors and outdoors, to include inclement conditions of heat and cold; rain or snow. • Must be able to work early, late hours and weekends as required to support the client’s needs • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a recommended CDL
