Valiant Integrated Services is looking for an experienced Electronics Maintenance Technician 1 to join our professional team at MCAS Yuma, Arizona providing support to the Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier Simulators. General Description: The (Simulation) Electronics Maintenance Technician 1 will work at the Marine Aviation Training Systems Squadron (MATSS) and will perform maintenance on the AV-8B (Harrier) Simulators and related apparatuses, computers, classrooms or any similar duties as directed by the supervisor. Typical duties (non-inclusive): The (Simulation) Electronics Maintenance Technician 1 will initialize and prepare systems including startup and shutdown procedures; ensure accuracy of exercise data; maintain system logs; perform troubleshooting of the simulators, interfaces, networks, connectivity or systems and assist with correcting all deficiencies. On an ongoing basis, the Technician will safely perform organizational and preventive maintenance on projectors, computers, lighting systems, and other electronic devices as instructed. The Technician will perform additional duties as directed and learn new systems as required; may assist with building simulation scenarios and make modifications to scenarios. The Technician will keep shift supervisor and/or site manager appraised of training devices status and any on-going logistics efforts. S/He will perform inventories as required; perform janitorial services on assigned spaces; and will work mornings, evenings and some weekends as specified by the customer. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: · Proficiency in one of the following operating systems: LINUX, Windows, UNIX, or Solaris. · 3 years of experience in Avionics Maintenance; OR Electronic Component troubleshooting and repair; OR Computer Network troubleshooting and repair; OR graduation from a two-year Electronics Technician course at an accredited technical institute or college; OR any education and experience that demonstrates the candidate’s ability to work in a highly technical environment and perform the duties required. · Valid CompTIA A+ certification (or obtained within 6 months of hire as a requirement). · Ability to obtain and retain a SECRET DoD Clearance through a security investigation. Desired Qualifications: · 5 years of Avionic Maintenance in a Military Type Aircraft · OR 5-years of experience with military exercises integrating live-virtual-constructive training · AND one or more of the following certifications: A+, Network+, Linux+, Security+, CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, or an Associate’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. · Active SECRET or higher clearance. Additional Requirements: • Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English. • Physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb 2 flights of stairs. • Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds. • Must present a professional appearance in demeanor and dress at all times. • The applicant must be a US citizen and must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. • Ability to work a flexible and dynamic schedule with minimal notice. • Applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to receive and retain a SECRET clearance for access to classified information.
