Join Our Team Mid Valley Disposal is looking for a dependable and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to support operations at our Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and Compost Operations site. This position plays a key role in keeping materials moving efficiently throughout our recycling and composting operations while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. What You’ll Do • Safely operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment • Move, load, sort, and transport recyclable and waste materials • Maintain material flow to conveyors and processing areas • Complete daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues • Maintain clean and organized work areas • Identify and report unsafe conditions, contamination, or prohibited materials • Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times • Work closely with supervisors, spotters, maintenance staff, and team members • Assist with site cleanup and additional facility duties as needed What We’re Looking For Preferred Qualifications • High school diploma or GED • At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment, preferably front-end loaders • Experience in recycling, waste, or solid waste operations is a plus Skills & Abilities • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment • Reliable attendance and punctuality • Good communication and teamwork skills • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field Work Environment This role involves working around heavy equipment, dust, noise, and outdoor environmental conditions.
