About Request Foods, Inc. Founded in 1990, Request Foods is a privately held, family-owned and operated frozen food manufacturer located in Holland, MI. We produce, package, and ship an assortment of frozen food entrees for Private Labels and National Brands for both the retail and food service markets. Key Responsibilities: • Direct the work of the Maintenance Mechanics in their assigned areas of responsibility. • Follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. • Coordinate resources with the fellow 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift crew leaders to ensure the entire plant runs smoothly and efficiently. • Along with 3rd shift Mechanics, ensures an on time start up of production lines. • Ensure corrective and preventative maintenance work order completion in a timely and accurate manner. • Work with production/support department Team Leaders to address ongoing concerns. • Maintain equipment in a safe manner and follow all Request Foods safety procedures. • Assist in maintaining cost control by efficient use of spare parts. • Ability to correct timecards and email daily recaps of workday. • Coordinate and assist contractors with projects pertaining to maintenance. Required Qualifications/ Education/ Skills • Candidate with previous lead person experience is required • Good math and reading skills • Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot and repair: • Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic Personal Qualities/ Characteristics • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills • Ability to independently take action and achieve results • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others Physical Activities Required – The physical activities described here are representative of those that must be met by a member to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. • Extensive standing and walking • Stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling • Repetitive motion (hands/ wrists) • Climbing ladders • Lifting up to 50 lbs. • Pushing/ pulling equipment of various weights • Working from scissors lift Job Environment • Climate: continuous 60-70 degrees; may include entry to freezer at -5 degrees
