Physician Practice enhancement in conjunction with Pathlink is seeking a Surgical Pathologist for a Medical Director position in Bronx, New York This Medical Director provides strategic leadership, ensures regulatory compliance, and manages quality assurance for anatomic pathology services while signing out complex surgical cases. They oversee laboratory operations, personnel, and technology implementation, acting as a liaison between pathology and clinical staff to optimize patient care and diagnostic accuracy. Job Responsibilities Clinical Leadership: Interpret and sign out complex surgical pathology cases (e.g., frozen sections, biopsies). Operational Management: Oversee laboratory staff, workflow efficiency, budget, and equipment procurement. Administrative Direction: Develop policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives for the department. Clinical Consultation: Provide expert advice to clinicians regarding pathology findings for patient management. Technology & Innovation: Evaluate and implement new technologies, such as digital pathology or molecular diagnostics. Key Competencies Expert diagnostic skills.
