Full description
Make mealtime the best part of their day.
Providence Place at the Collegeville Inn is hiring a full-time Dining Room Server / Coordinator to lead our dining room at lunch and dinner. This is more than serving meals — you'll run the room: set it, lead the servers working it, and make sure every resident's meal is accurate, unhurried, and genuinely enjoyable. If you love hospitality, take pride in a well-run dining room, and can lead a small team by example, this is your seat.
What you'll do
• Lead meal service end to end — run our 5 Star Dining Program so meals are served accurately and efficiently, every seating
• Lead (with the chef) the pre-meal meeting: walk the team through the menu and assign tables before service starts
• Train new coworkers on dining room etiquette and procedures, and supervise servers and resident life associates while they're working in the dining room
• Set the room to Providence Place standards — silverware, glassware, and condiments in place before each seating — and manage resident table assignments and selector sheets
• Serve meals, check in with residents, and fix problems on the spot so every resident leaves happy
• Keep the dining room clean, calm, and ready: wipe tables and chairs, vacuum, deep-clean beverage dispensers weekly, and keep tabletop supplies stocked
• Communicate dining room needs to the Director of Dining Services, coordinate kitchen linens, help with guest meals, and track room tray charges for the Business Office
• Pitch in where needed — including covering dishwasher or prep cook shifts when the team needs you
Schedule
Full-time, 10:30am–7:00pm. Must be able to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
What you bring
• High school diploma or GED; 18 or older
• At least one year of dining or restaurant service experience — supervisory experience is a plus
• Superb customer service and strong communication skills, spoken and written
• You work well on a team — and you're capable of leading one in the dining room
• Knowledge of food handling, dining room, and hospitality procedures
• ServSafe sanitation course completed within 3 months of hire
• Service-oriented, positive, and neat and professional in appearance
• On your feet for your shift; able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs
Pay & benefits
$16.00–$18.00/hour. Full-time benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with employer match, PTO, your birthday as a holiday, and more.
