Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Make bolillo, conchas and other versions of popular Mexican breads. 2. Make and decorate different types of cakes. 3. Make different batters using different types of flour, including pre-mixed flour. 4. Use flour already mixed for the preparation of products. 5. Prepare and optimize the use of the baking oven. 6. Coordinate the production and speed the process of baking to elaborate more product in less time. 7. Apply temperature and time management. 8. Use all types of bakery equipment. 9. Manage the bread display cases. 10.Minimize shrinkage in operation and maintenance of the display cases. 11.Clean the work area and bakery equipment. 12.Make orders and receive products. 13.Apply health standards. 14.Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. 15.Keep work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards. 16.Report faulty equipment and hazards to management. 17.PERFORM ANY OTHER TASK ASSIGNED BY THE STORE MANAGER. Knowledge, Abilities, Skills and Other Personal Characteristics: 1. Basic knowledge of the variety and styles of Mexican bread. 2. Ability to apply health standards. 3. Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). 4. Attention to detail. 5. Ability to prepare invoices. 6. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. 7. Initiative to learn new responsibilities. 8. Manual dexterity. Minimum Requirements: 1. 3 years of experience making a variety of Mexican bread. 2. Ability to read at an eighth grade level. 3. Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). 4. Ability to write notes, instructions, orders, invoices and descriptions of cake orders. 5. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Desirable Requirements: 1. Ability to speak, read and write at a basic level in Spanish and English. 2. Graduation from high school or GED. Physical Requirements: 1. Ability to lift 50 pounds. 2. Ability to stand for long periods of time. 3. Ability to flex, kneel, bend and stoop.
