CNC Machinist 1st Shift Direct Start is working with a leading manufacturing company that specializes in producing high-quality precision parts for a variety of industries. We are currently seeking a skilled machinist to join our team and contribute to our continued success. All of the programming is done offline so candidates don't necessarily need to know MasterCam or Gibbs programming, but they need to have a full understanding of G&M code. Position Overview: This is a job shop and you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. We are looking for Machinists not operators. Key Responsibilities: Lathes: - 5 years experience with Roll building. - Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machine set-up and production methods - Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications - Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments as needed - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with machines or parts, ensuring minimal downtime - Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols and procedures - Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production and timely delivery of orders - Continuously seek ways to improve processes and increase efficiency Mills: - 5 years experience setting up machine including tooling.
