REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum 3-year experience working as a mechanic in the food industry environment or similar • High school education or the equivalent • Demonstrated work experience in a team environment • Demonstrate a high level of mechanical skills and knowledge • Demonstrated ability to learn and use custom equipment and assist in installations • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Initiative to work independently RESPONSIBILITES: • Performs preventative maintenance on a wide variety of packaging and processing equipment. • Specifies parts required. Orders if needed, and makes needed repairs based on PM. • Assists with training new and/or less skilled maintenance and production personnel. • Troubleshoots basic electrical problems using various test equipment and ladder logic diagrams. • Troubleshoots mechanical problems using various measurement equipment and mechanical expertise. • Devises, plans, and completes mechanical upgrades, modifications and overhauls • Completes changeovers on production lines by following changeover check sheet and recommends modifications to the sheet as needed. • Performs routine daily setup and adjustment of all production equipment PERFERRED: • Ability to speak both English and Spanish • Experience with Cloud Machine, Liquid Fill Machines, Ribbon Blenders, Bartlets machine and cartoners or other horizontal pouch fill machines. • Experience to Food Industrial environment and Good Manufacturing Practices.
