Responsibilities • Develop and maintain media-related backend services for real-time communication (audio, video, screen sharing). • Implement efficient media routing, session management, and signaling services. • Optimize performance with adaptive bitrate, congestion control, and low-latency streaming. • Collaborate with the control plane and client teams for seamless integration. • Monitor and improve media service scalability, resilience, and observability. Requirements • Proficiency in C++ and/or Go. • Strong understanding of real-time streaming protocols and WebRTC fundamentals (ICE, DTLS, RTP, SRTP). • Experience in building low-latency distributed systems or communication backends. • Familiarity with Kubernetes, monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), and cloud environments. • Good communication skills and attention to performance optimization details. US Citizenship is required. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000-$200,000.
