Wood is currently sourcing for a Millwright to join our team in Port Lavaca, Texas. U.S. Only: Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required. • Reads and interprets blueprints, layout plans, vendor installation and operation manuals, and other schematic drawings to determine work procedures. • Dismantles machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools. • Moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks. • Assembles and installs equipment, such as shaffing, conveyors and tram rails, using cranes, hand tools and power tools. • Constructs foundation for machines using hand tools and building materials, such as wood, cement and steel. • Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers and plumb bobs. • Must have knowledge of optical and laser alignments. • Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools. • May operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications. • May install robot and modify its program using teach pendant. • May use transit and level for equipment setting. • Loads, transports and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies. • Performs lubricating maintenance, cleaning activities, or repair of tools, machines, and equipment. • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required. • Use effective verbal and written communication skills. • Be capable of listening and communicating with other supervision and employees. • Be motivated and work safely and productively. • Understand and respond accordingly to all safety alerts, warnings, hazards, etc. • May be required to lift and carry items weighing no more than 50 pounds. • Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above. • Must be able to move in and around confined and uneven areas. • Must have full range of motion consistent with age. • May be required consistently to work 12 hour shifts performing construction based labor in varying temperature extremes and conditions. • May be required, on occasion, to work up to 16 hours in a single shift. • Must be able to climb and maintain balance on stairs, ladders, scaffolds and steel framework. • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job related noises. • Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces. • Must be able to perform the following actions to the frequency stated:
