The Cook’s Helper is responsible for assisting the cooks in preparing recipes and food items in accordance with the Executive Chef’s requirements. • Prepare, sauté, broil, fry, bake and grill food items in accordance with kitchen needs. • Helping to do preparation work; cutting, slicing, dicing, etc. • Perform various job duties that will include in assisting the operation of grill, fryer, broiler, oven and French top in accordance with kitchen needs. • Perform preliminary preparation work in a timely manner. • Ensures ingredient supply levels are accurate. • Move items from shelves to carts and transport them to assigned stations for restocking purposes. • Maintains the required part of food items in their assigned station from support areas throughout the property. • Understand proper safety and health codes and regulations and maintain them regularly. • Ensure all areas assigned are clean and free of debris • To assist with any other job-related duties that may be assigned. • at all times • Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner. • Work requires a minimum of two years' experience as a cook. • Work requires a neat appearance with good personal hygiene. • Two years' fry cooking experience is required. • Previous experience cooking eggs is preferred. • Previous work experience with a point of sales system is preferred. • You must be able to provide your own tools, including a chef’s knife, carving/slicing knife, metal spatula, metal tongs, carving fork and a paring knife. • Must be able to work any day of the week and during any shift. • Must be able to get along with co-workers and must be able to work as a team.
