The Machinist IV produces precision parts using machine tools and equipment. This involves measuring workpieces, installing machine parts, and performing quality inspections. • Estimate dimensions of workpieces, products, or equipment • Maintain a safe and clean work environment • Produce or repair precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements • Program complex parts to be machined • Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools in order to perform precision machining operations • Measure and outline the parts to be machined using various devices and tools in order to obtain accurate dimensions • Design complexed manufacturing fixtures • Mentor and train junior machinists Experience: • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in area of responsibility.
