SUMMARY  Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer (MEP / Utilities) that will be responsible for performing commissioning assignments requiring basic engineering principles in a construction environment, focusing on successful commissioning and completing specific tasks using prescribed methods. RESPONSIBILITIES • Reviewing owner project requirements • Supporting scope reviews • Developing commissioning specifications • Creating commissioning plans, checklists, and tests for basic systems • Performing field visits and observing commissioning inspections and tests • Developing working relationships with contractors and assisting in resolving commissioning issues observed during testing • Writing issue descriptions, field reports, and final reports • Creating Systems Manuals • Effectively working and building relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels • Supporting planning and execution of system tests, including but not limited to NETA, SCADA, controls, and operations verification of mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and life safety systems • Performing all other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field experience • Minimum four years of construction management or commissioning experience, preferably with an MEP Contractor or Commissioning firm • Solid understanding of commissioning processes, construction documents, and their relationship to QA/QC and project management • Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Office and data-based commissioning tools such as BIM360 or Cx Alloy • Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills • Effective communication and active listening skills, including openness to diverse input and feedback • Ability to travel up to 75% A few benefits offered include:  (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) • Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage  • Dental plan  • 401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match • Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves  • Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance  • No-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resources • Tuition reimbursement  • Adoption Assistance   • Gym Membership Discount Program   The base pay range for this role is $102,00 MIN - $137,700 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
