York Hospital Diagnostic Radiology - Imaging Center (1st Floor) PRN As needed, Day/Evening Imaging Center and other off-site locations General Summary Performs routine diagnostic, technical and/or special radiographic procedures at a general skill level. Duties and Responsibilities • Performs radiographic examinations, obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns. • Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations. • Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure. • Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures • Properly processes images using digital technology • Evaluates recorded images for technical quality; consistently maintains a repeat rate under 6%. • Participates in and collaborates with other departments on projects to improve care and efficiency as needed. Qualifications Minimum Education: • High School Diploma or GED Required Licenses: • Registered Technologist-Radiography - ARRT Upon Hire Required and • Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required Courses and Training: • Accredited program in radiologic technology Upon Hire Required
