(10 month position) What You'll Do As a Physical Therapist you will work as a member of the team of teachers, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists and counselors to provide physical therapy services to young children in a school environment. Your Responsibilities Will Include: • Develop IEPs with other team members and families. • Maintain professional standards, and current skills in therapy techniques. • Provide physical therapy services for children. • Write session notes, progress notes and reports addressing the child's strengths, needs and progress. • Aid in maintaining equipment and workspace. • Attend staff meetings, case conferences, and other meetings as assigned. • Assist in staff development and training. • Assist in program planning and development. You're a great fit for this role if you have: • Doctorate from a physical therapy school approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or associate’s degree as a physical therapy assistant. • Current license in the State of New York. • Three years' experience working with young children as a physical therapist preferred.
