Primary Duties and Responsibilities Under general supervision, this position will assist physician/provider with all general medicine or specialized medical practice duties as a Medical Assistant within the scope of practice. As the limited X-Ray Technician perform diagnostic x-rays within their licensure for patients of all ages and assumes responsibility for accuracy under the direction of the radiologist; works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel. The limited x-ray technician is also responsible for all duties relating to the darkroom. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Required: Required: • High school Diploma or GED Required • Graduate of a State recognized vocational School • Certificate of completion from an accredited limited radiology program, including digital training • MA Certificate • Current CPR Certificate • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Windows • Knowledge/experience with GE RIS and PACS Preferred: • Associate or Bachelors’ degree in healthcare-related field • Working Knowledge of EPIC or other Electronic Medical Record system ‘EMR’ • Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates Licenses Required • N/A Licenses Preferred • N/A Certifications Required • LXT – Limited Permit Radiation Technologist to include Digital Radiography, Chest, Extremities and Torso-Skeletal or Radiology Technician – Diagnostic • Current BLS Certification Certifications Preferred • N/A Physical Job Requirements
