The Load Out Operator uses heavy equipment for loading outbound trucks with finished product and is responsible for ensuring a steady flow of material for processing. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. • Operates yard and plant equipment to load materials. Maintains raw material mixture at proper moisture content. • Maintains contact with operator to ensure most efficient drying rate. • Performs daily maintenance on loader before each shift. • Washes plant equipment, vehicles, and processing areas as necessary using high pressure power washer. • Performs general cleaning as needed in work areas. • Keeps area clean; raw materials piled out of driving area. • Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations. • Reviews and evaluates qualitative data reports to verify that product meets Company specifications. • Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications • Must be at least 18 years of age. • High School diploma or GED equivalent required. • Minimum 1 year of experience in loader operations within a production environment. • Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in a rendering operation preferred. • Basic math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers. • Good oral and written skills; able to follow oral and written directions. • Ability to review & comprehend qualitative data reports to verify product meets specifications. • Ability to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situations. Working Conditions and Physical Demands - PLANT • Frequently exposed to high noise levels, strong odors, varying temperatures, and biohazardous conditions. • Requires prolonged sitting and movement throughout office/work locations, as well as occasional use of computers and office equipment. • Must constantly stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb or balance. • Must be able to communicate effectively and identify potential workplace hazards. • Requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 100lbs.
