We are seeking a Business Manager, Tile & Stone Installation Systems (TSIS) to lead the strategy, financial performance, and growth of our multimillion dollar product portfolio. Leading a team of Product Line Managers and an operations support professional, you will strengthen established products, drive innovation, and improve profitability across mortars and additives, screeds, grouts, self-leveling underlayments, patching products, exterior mortars, caulks, sealants, and care and maintenance products.
Responsibilities
• Own portfolio financial performance, including P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategies, and profitability targets to drive revenue growth and margin expansion.
• Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps over a three to five year horizon, balancing the modernization of established products with new product development, launches, and the retirement of mature products.
• Lead, coach, and develop Product Line Managers and operations support staff, establishing clear goals and accountability for business results.
• Partner with R&D to establish product development priorities and monitor scientific research, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to maintain product performance, compliance, and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership to align product positioning, promotions, distribution strategies, operational plans, and key customer programs with business goals.
• Perform assigned tasks in conformance with procedures and instructions established in the Business Management System (BMS) and in compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
What's in it for you
• In this role, you will earn a competitive salary depending on your experience and qualifications.
• This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is a variable percentage of your base salary, based on individual performance and company results.
• FREE MEDICAL INSURANCE for our employees or the option of a highly competitive medical plan with minimal monthly employee contributions.
• 17 days of paid sick and vacation time annually (days are prorated in year one).
• 401K retirement with up to 6% matching program.
• Excellent dental and vision programs, flex spending accounts, employer-paid life insurance, and free tele-med physician services.
• Various other company employee-centric perks and initiatives, including tuition reimbursement programs, discounted home/auto insurance programs, supplemental life insurance, and more.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience. A degree in chemistry or a related scientific discipline is preferred; an MBA or advanced technical degree is highly desired.
• Minimum of three years of commercial product leadership, business management, or general management experience, including at least two years of industry-related experience. Experience managing established, high-revenue product portfolios is preferred.
• Minimum of three years of direct people management experience, with demonstrated success coaching and developing managers.
• Demonstrated expertise in P&L management, financial forecasting, budgeting, pricing, and margin optimization.
• Experience in chemicals, manufacturing, or another technically complex or highly regulated industry, with the ability to translate technical and regulatory developments into business strategies.
• Strong strategic planning, project management, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to coordinate priorities across teams and hold project owners accountable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
