The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests, identifying issues, and working closely with developers to ensure high-quality software releases. The Automation Tester will use testing frameworks and tools to improve test efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities: • Develop, design, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.). • Perform test automation for functional, regression, and performance testing of applications. • Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and write test cases. • Execute automated test scripts and analyze the results to detect and troubleshoot issues. • Report defects and track their resolution, providing feedback to development teams. • Continuously improve the automation framework and testing processes. • Monitor and enhance the performance of automated test suites. • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, scripts, and results. • Contribute to the design and architecture of the testing framework. • Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and efficiency of automation scripts. • Ensure high-quality software through the use of automated testing tools and techniques. Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). • Proven experience as an Automation Tester, Quality Assurance Engineer, or similar role. • Proficiency in automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Test Complete, etc. • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Ruby and JavaScript. • Knowledge of testing methodologies, including agile testing practices. • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). • Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus. • Strong understanding of databases and the ability to write SQL queries for testing purposes. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in mobile automation testing. • Familiarity with cloud-based and docker testing platforms. • Experience with testing APIs and web services using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
