Join our Radiation Oncology Clinic as a Medical Assistant and play an integral role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with a wide range of cancer diagnoses and select non-malignant conditions. You’ll work alongside radiation oncologists, registered nurses, radiation therapists, and other members of a multidisciplinary team supporting patients throughout their treatment journey—from initial consultation and treatment planning through radiation therapy, symptom management, and follow-up care. What You’ll Do In this fast-paced, patient-facing role, you will help keep the clinic running efficiently while providing compassionate support to patients and their families. Responsibilities include: • Room and support approximately 40–60 patients per day in collaboration with the clinical team • Obtain and document vital signs, patient histories, screenings, and other required clinical information • Perform medication review and maintain accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record • Draw blood and collect and prepare laboratory specimens in accordance with applicable policies and scope of practice • Support timely patient flow and coordinate closely with RNs, physicians, radiation therapists, and front-desk staff • Schedule appointments and assist with follow-up testing, referrals, and other care coordination activities • Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and clinical supplies • Perform additional clinical and administrative Medical Assistant responsibilities within scope of practice Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Minimum of 1years of Medical Assistant experience. California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT1) certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the AHA or ARC.
