Head of Content (Video Producer + Social Media Manager) Location: San Francisco, CA (On-site at REK HQ) Company: REK Inc. ️About REK REK is creating a new global sport VR-controlled humanoid robot fighting. We blend robotics, gaming, and live entertainment into cinematic, high-energy events. Our first event, REK0, was the most attended robot fight in Temple Nightclubs history, and were now scaling nationally and internationally. Were looking for a hands-on creative powerhouse who can shoot, edit, and publish content that captures the energy of the worlds first robot fighting league. The Role The Head of Content is a multidisciplinary creative who owns REKs visual and social identity across platforms. Youll be on the ground at robot fights, in the lab filming behind-the-scenes moments, and online shaping how millions of fans discover REK. Youll handle everything from shooting cinematic footage to cutting viral reels, designing thumbnails, and managing the daily rhythm of REKs social channels. Responsibilities Videography & Photography • Capture high-quality video and photo content at events, rehearsals, and behind-the-scenes sessions. • Operate cameras, lighting, and audio for both studio and field shoots. • Maintain a consistent visual style aligned with REKs brand. ️ Editing & Post-Production • Edit short-form and long-form content for social media, marketing, and internal use. • Create high-impact promotional reels, fight highlights, and cinematic recaps. • Handle color grading, sound design, and motion graphics as needed. • Organize and manage media assets across cloud and local storage. Social Media & Distribution • Manage REKs social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn). • Plan, schedule, and post daily content that drives engagement and brand growth. • Write captions, tag collaborators, and track analytics for continuous improvement. • Collaborate with leadership to align content with upcoming fights, partnerships, and announcements. Requirements • 1+ years of experience in videography, photography, or social media content creation. • Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut / DaVinci Resolve, Lightroom, and Photoshop. • Strong understanding of short-form storytelling and platform algorithms (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts). • Able to work quickly in the field, edit fast, and deliver polished output under tight deadlines. • Experience managing brand social accounts with measurable growth. • Passion for tech, sports, robotics, gaming, or live entertainment. • Must be based in or near San Francisco and available for frequent on-site shoots. Bonus Skills • Experience with a major influencer / creator team (Mr. Beast, Logan Paul, ishowspeed, Pokimane, etc.) • Motion graphics (After Effects or similar). • Experience with live streaming setups (OBS, multicam, or VR180). • Drone operation and aerial cinematography. • Experience covering sports, esports, or live events. • Copywriting or community-building experience.
