In this role, you will play a vital part in our tea-related operations, ensuring the smooth running of our tea room and contributing to the overall success of our business. Your duties will encompass a range of tasks, from maintaining accurate records to preparing and arranging teas for daily tastings. • Record-keeping and sample management, including sorting and organizing trade and offer samples. • Preparing and arranging teas for daily tastings, ensuring an enjoyable experience for our guests. • Cleaning and maintaining tasting cups and bowls to the highest standards. • Scheduling daily tastings and managing the flow of visitors. • Measuring tea density for private offers, a critical task in our tea-blending process. • Sieving fannings grade to determine sizing, a key quality control measure. • Maintaining detailed records of purchase samples, a vital aspect of our tea procurement process. • Storage and organization of offer and purchase samples, ensuring easy access and proper preservation. • Assisting with tea-related inquiries and providing excellent customer service to our guests. • A strong passion for tea and its culture, with a basic understanding of tea varieties and blends. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and sample management. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously. • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with guests and colleagues. • Basic knowledge of tea-tasting techniques and an appreciation for the sensory aspects of tea. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tea-related processes and procedures. • A positive and friendly attitude, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere in the tea room. • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and carrying tea samples and equipment. • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and data entry. • A flexible schedule, as some evening or weekend work may be required.
