Position Summary This is a hands-on job in an energizing and collaborative environment. STOPS will provide on the job training, but a strong candidate will come armed with confident skills and an understanding of makeup techniques and beauty trends – as well as machine and hand sewing. Individual should have an eye for organization, be inquisitive, open to feedback, and communicative as part of a team. Job Duties and Responsibilities · Learn to create and apply special effects make-up wounds for tactical training evolutions · Casting, molding, airbrushing, sculpting, and painting amputee sleeves, and prosthetic injuries · Design and create foam latex and silicone wounds and body parts · Responsible for organizing products, tools, and equipment for field operations • Pulling, laundering, mending, organizing, and/or constructing garments for tactical training • Assisting in preparing and tracking wardrobe assigned to projects • Participating in maintaining accurate records of departmental activities, including inventory Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities · Hardworking and imaginative with exceptional team commitment · Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills · Ability to properly time manage to meet goals and deadlines • Familiarity with sewing equipment, hand sewing tools, and washers and dryers • Willingness to ask questions and receive constructive feedback • Ability to follow instructions and apply learned information • Ability to handle information with discretion and tact • Courteousness and a positive attitude • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Reliability, dependability, punctuality, and patience • Attention to detail and organization • Fluency in English with an ability to communicate skillfully – verbally and written Qualifications • No specific qualifications required
