Overnight Telehealth Psychiatrist - NC MindCare Solutions is a leading provider of behavioral health services supporting hospitals, emergency departments, inpatient behavioral health units, long term care centers and a variety of other clinical settings. Schedule: evenings, 3pm-11pm Compensation: dependent on experience and contract type Location: telehealth - NC licensed required (additional FL and TX preferred) or compact license (PSYPACT). Responsibilities: • Psychiatrist must hold an active North Carolina (NC) medical license; (additional FL and TX preferred). • The Psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients presenting in the Emergency Department (ED), perform psychiatric admission evaluations, and diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health disorders in an acute care hospital setting. • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed • The psychiatrist will create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions. • Chart audits, peer review, meetings, provider management, etc. • The psychiatrist will maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care. • Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed. • The psychiatrist will work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care. • Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management • Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.
