QA Lead Level 3 Edge: 918526 Location: BTC - 11450 Grooms Road, Blue Ash, OH, 45242, USA Hiring Co: KTD Type: Replacement, 6 months Note to Vendors: Impacts of Role: This role is critical to ensuring that production releases for the NextGen POS product do not contain significant defects within their major user workflows. Implications: Without this role present to lead the end-to-end test effort, production releases could contain defects that impact user experience during checkout at the stores and possibly disrupt store operations This position requires demonstrated experience writing and executing automated E2E test cases using Selenium, Java, and Appium. Experience writing automated API tests is a preferred as well. Due to the need to periodically run tests on physical equipment in the BTC Lab, this position will require relocation to Cincinnati. However, other than when periodic onsite testing is needed, individuals can work remotely from their Cincinnati location. Job Description This QA Lead will lead the End-to-End testing team within the NextGen POS project. The Lead will be responsible for the planning and test execution each time end-to-end testing is needed for a release in the project. The Lead will also be responsible for communicating test results and any concerns with moving forward with the release. Position/Project Specific Requirements: *3+ years of experience writing Selenium tests in Java *2+ years of experience with test runners (Junit, TestNG, Mocha, Jasmine) *2+ years of experience with CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab) *1+ years of experience with Selenium Grid *1+ years of experience testing web services (manual or automation) *1+ years of working in an Agile/Scrum methodology *1+ years of using Jira for defect tracking Position/Project Specific Preferences/Desires: *Very strong communication and collaboration skills *Strong experience leading the automation of regression test suites *Prefer QA Lead experience on most recent project *Prefer Selenium being utilized in the current/most recent project *Prefer Agile be utilized in the current/most recent project *Prefer experience in the SAFe Agile approach *Prefer working knowledge of Selenium WDIO *Prefer understanding or experience validating XML responses from web services Key Responsibilities Provide leadership to quality engineers, with complete responsibility and accountability for delivery of project tasks assigned to the QA team. Create Test Plans Ensure Test Case, script reviews with stakeholders are being held as appropriate. Conduct Defect Triage meetings as appropriate. Ensure completion of all deliverables within schedule, budget and quality constraints. Conduct Root Cause Analysis and identify and implement process improvements. Assess quality and test process maturity level and assist in defining strategy to implement best practices. Ensure that projects follow prescribed software development life cycle standards. Understand and utilize risk based testing techniques Effectively determine when test cases are good candidates to be automated
