Full description

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Remote Employee Benefits Operations Coordinator to support the administrative and clerical side of employee benefits management. This position will work with employee enrollment and termination information, maintain accurate records, update insurance/carrier systems, and ensure that premium and coverage information is entered correctly. The role is primarily administrative rather than sales-focused and requires someone who is comfortable performing repetitive but detail-sensitive tasks while using sound judgment to identify discrepancies and understand how changes affect employee premiums. Strong English communication skills are preferred because the position may eventually expand into Tier 1 customer service responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: • Process employee benefit enrollment and termination updates. • Update employee information in the company's benefits management system. • Enter and maintain employee data accurately and consistently. • Access insurance carrier websites and update employee information as required. • Review changes to employee coverage and benefit information. • Calculate or verify changes to premiums when employee information changes. • Compare previous and updated premium amounts to identify discrepancies. • Maintain accurate records of employee additions, removals, and changes. • Perform daily clerical and administrative benefits-related tasks. • Review information carefully before submitting changes. • Follow established procedures for processing employee benefits. • Communicate with the internal team through designated communication channels when clarification or assistance is needed, which includes inbound and outbound calls. • Learn and utilize company-specific systems, including SmartAgents and carrier platforms. • Transition into Tier 1 customer service responsibilities as the role develops. • Maintain productivity, accuracy, and responsiveness while working remotely. • Perform other duties related to the position as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements: • Proficient level of English (written and spoken). • Confident, professional, and comfortable communicating with clients by phone and through non-verbal communication. • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail. • Previous clerical, administrative, data-entry, benefits, or back-office experience is preferred. • Customer service experience is a plus, particularly for potential future Tier 1 responsibilities. • Previous insurance or employee benefits experience is a plus but not required. • Demonstrated employment stability and a consistent work history. • Tech-savvy, and comfortable working with numbers, data, and premium calculations. • Ability to identify discrepancies and investigate changes rather than simply entering information. • Comfortable working with web-based systems and spreadsheets. • Reliable, punctual, and responsive with the ability to follow procedures and accurately process information. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a positive and professional attitude. • Strong follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and follow established processes. • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and workflows. • Creative, resourceful, and proactive with an out-of-the-box mindset. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and standard business tools (email, spreadsheets, document management). • Ability to work U.S. Eastern Time (New York) business hours and adapt to business needs. • Interested in long-term career opportunities. • Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet. • Professional home workstation capable of supporting uninterrupted remote work. Compensation & Benefits: • 100% remote work. • Compensation in USD. • Full-time position with 40 hours weekly. • Please note that this is a long-term opportunity. • Great work environment with potential for growth.
