Short Description: The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Information Technology is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mainframe Programmer Analyst in Atlanta,Georgia. Complete Description: This position is responsible for providing system maintenance and enhancements for the DHS Special Projects Team. Responsibilities include butare not limited to: • Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications • Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code. • Work with IT support teams (ex. DBAs) to ensure support and project requirements are developed and successfully implemented • Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications. • Work with business team to complete acceptance testing and participate in integration testing • Responsible for full System Development Life Cycle • On-call production support Required Job Experience: • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field • 10+ years of experience in mainframe development • 10+ years and expert knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM and other mainframe technologies • Expert knowledge of DB2 Utilities (QMF and SPUFI) • Strong knowledge of IBM Utilities such as IEBGENER, IDCAMS, ICETOOL, DEBUGGER(CICS and Batch), FILE MANAGER, SORT, Fault Analyzer • Experience in all components of software delivery including requirements, design, development, and testing • Experience with CHANGEMAN and CONTROL-M Scheduling • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting • Experience with mainframe software development tools and platforms (z/OS) • Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be a team player
