The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in MongoDB schema design, performance tuning, and cloud-based deployments, along with experience working in modern, distributed application environments. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop MongoDB schemas aligned with application access patterns and performance requirements. • Implement operations, aggregations, indexing strategies, and query optimizations in MongoDB. • Work with application teams to integrate MongoDB with backend services and APIs. • Manage and support MongoDB deployments on cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP). • Configure and maintain replica sets, sharding, backups, and restore strategies. • Monitor database performance and proactively resolve issues related to scalability, availability, and reliability. • Ensure data security, access control, and compliance with best practices. • Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and performance tuning initiatives. • Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD and cloud infrastructure support. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB (schema design, indexing, aggregations, performance tuning). • Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. • Good understanding of NoSQL concepts and distributed database systems. • Knowledge of backup, recovery, and high availability strategies in MongoDB. • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Good to Have • Experience with MongoDB Atlas. • Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes. • Knowledge of Kafka or messaging systems. • Understanding of data migration and large-scale data ingestion. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
