Role: IT Head - Manufacturing Duration: Permanent - Full Time Shift: 9AM - 6PM Work Mode: On site, 6 days a week Location: Nungambakkam, Chennai Travel Requirement: 30% A reputed manufacturing group with a 50+ year legacy and global client base is looking for a Head of IT to lead their technology function across 8 factories and multiple business entities. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll drive digitization across manufacturing, procurement, people operations, and compliance—managing SAP Public Cloud implementation, stakeholder alignment, and on-ground adoption. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the group’s IT shared services function, overseeing all core applications, infrastructure, and digital workflows across multiple plants Drive successful IT transformation initiatives—from roadmap to implementation—across manufacturing, supply chain, HR, and compliance Own end-to-end delivery of SAP Public Cloud systems, O365 and ensure long-term scalability and integration Manage and mentor a cross-functional IT team comprising system executives, managers, and support personnel Collaborate closely with business unit heads and factory GMs to ensure seamless tech adoption and change management Monitor KPIs, optimize digital operations, and proactively address risks in ERP, security, and support systems Serve as the single point of accountability for all internal tech infrastructure and enterprise platforms Requirements What You Need to Qualify 15+ years of experience in IT leadership, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing setup inclusive of IT Infrastructure & Operations, Digital Transformation, Information Security & Compliance, Leadership & Team Management, Budgeting & Resource Allocation In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and compliance standards Strong exposure to SAP Public Cloud and O365 environments and experience with large-scale ERP implementations Proven success in managing change in traditional or legacy environments A track record of working cross-functionally with operations, procurement, HR, and finance Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or any core STEM discipline (Master’s preferred) Excellent interpersonal skills, stakeholder management, and strategic problem-solving
