We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a Substation Engineering Organisation. If you have experience working on substation and industrial electrification design, understand CEA/CEIG drawing processes, and can collaborate across functions to deliver timely, accurate engineering documentation - this could be the next big step in your career.
You'll work with a team that delivers critical infrastructure across sectors like industrial, infrastructure, power, healthcare, solar, and more.
What You’ll Do
• Prepare technical drawings and documentation for Electrical Inspectorate approvals (CEA, CEIG, SEI, EI).
• Create layout designs for substations, power, lighting, earthing, and cable routing.
• Size transformers and generators based on load calculations.
• Draft cable routing through trenches and trays using AutoCAD.
• Compile Bill of Materials (BOM) and assist in preparation of equipment lists.
• Interact with customers and statutory bodies for drawing reviews and approvals.
• Generate final documentation packs including completion reports.
• Ensure all designs align with relevant electrical codes and safety standards.
Requirements
What You’ll Need To Qualify
• A Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within electrical contracting or EPC firms.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office tools.
• Strong understanding of power distribution systems, electrical panels, and substation components.
• Effective communication in English (additional fluency in South Indian languages is a plus).
• Confidence in customer-facing interactions and team coordination.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle parallel project timelines.
