Role: Sr. Actuarial Analyst - Employee Benefits & Financial Analytics
Duration: Permanent - Full Time
Shift: 6:00PM - 2:45AM
Work Mode: Hybrid
Location: Pune / Mumbai / Bangalore
We're hiring for a Sr. Actuarial Analyst to help employer clients take smarter benefits decisions with numbers they can trust. You’ll own experience reporting, forecasting, IBNR reserving, and plan-design impact models that directly shape renewal strategy and funding. You’ll partner with account teams, present to clients/underwriters, and raise the quality bar for every deliverable.
What You'll Do:
• Build and present experience reports that explain spend, loss ratios, funding levels, and trends across employee benefit plans.
• Produce financial forecasts and strategic recommendations that feed renewal planning.
• Estimate IBNR reserves aligned to actuarial standards, ensuring accurate accruals for incurred-not-reported claims.
• Create client-ready analytics: custom financial/performance reports highlighting trends and actionable insights.
• Validate assumptions; ensure accuracy, consistency, and auditability across all models.
• Co-pilot renewals with account teams; support underwriting discussions with clear, defensible analyses.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practices while juggling multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
Requirements
What You Need To Qualify:
• 8–12 years in US/Indian health/employee benefits analytics with strong exposure to renewals, funding, and plan design.
• Education/credentials: Bachelor’s in Actuarial Science preferred; FQA ideal. We also welcome Statistics/Applied Math grads who’ve cleared ~10 actuarial exams and have deep healthcare EB experience.
• Domain fluency: Group health/EB structures, funding mechanisms, and regulatory context; insurance/reinsurance fundamentals.
• Technical toolkit: Advanced Excel; comfort with SQL/R/Python a plus; strong statistical reasoning for forecasting/reserving.
• Consulting soft skills: Business storytelling, client presentation, decision support, and cross-functional collaboration.
