JOB DESCRIPTION
CAD and Simulation Engineer
Product Design, Digital Simulation and AI Environments
Location:
New Delhi
Employment Type:
Full-time
Experience Level:
2-4 Years
Department:
Engineering / Mechanical Design & Simulation
Role Purpose
The engineer will convert product and system requirements into manufacturable mechanical designs and credible digital models. The position requires practical ownership of CAD, design for manufacture, structural and fluid analysis, simulation validation, AI training environments, and simulator integration with hardware, firmware, controls, and autonomy teams.
Key Responsibilities
•
Mechanical CAD: Create parametric parts, assemblies, mechanisms, enclosures, mounts, frames, fixtures, and production drawings with controlled revisions and clear design intent.
•
Prototype design: Design parts for additive manufacturing, machining, sheet fabrication, and rapid assembly while accounting for tolerances, supports, orientation, finishing, and iteration speed.
•
Production design: Develop parts for injection moulding and other scalable processes, including draft, wall thickness, ribs, bosses, undercuts, parting lines, ejector access, tooling constraints, and assembly features.
•
Engineering definition: Apply material selection, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, tolerance-stack analysis, fastening, sealing, surface finish, fit, and serviceability requirements.
•
Structural simulation: Perform finite-element analysis for stress, strain, displacement, contact, buckling, fatigue, vibration, thermal stress, safety factors, and stress-relief design features.
•
CFD and thermal analysis: Model airflow, pressure drop, cooling, heat transfer, fluid forces, and environmental conditions; refine mesh, boundary conditions, and assumptions to support design decisions.
•
Simulation validation: Define load cases, simplify geometry responsibly, assess convergence and sensitivity, compare results with calculations or tests, and document model limits.
•
AI training environments: Build physically credible 3D scenes in Unreal Engine, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, or similar platforms with terrain, lighting, materials, collision, sensors, assets, scenarios, and synthetic-data outputs.
•
System simulator development: Create software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop simulators that model vehicle, robotic, sensor, actuator, communication, environmental, and operator behavior.
•
Cross-functional delivery: Work with mechanical, electronics, firmware, controls, autonomy, testing, manufacturing, and field teams to review interfaces, resolve faults, and maintain shared models and evidence.
