General Position Summary:- Make an impact with our National Tax Services Group as a Manager. This diverse team of professionals provides best-in-class industry and technical expertise to internally drive the success of our Tax practice. As a trusted advisor, you’ll work internally to support the delivery of tax services, the development and coordination of key training programs and materials and the communication of tax matters. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain firm standards, processes and tools to support the delivery of tax services to our clients • Troubleshoot queries relating to the preparation of tax returns through the firm’s tax software • Manage and maintain tax templates in accordance with the latest tax updates • Develop internal training materials and practice aids to support the implementation of firm standards • Facilitate and assist with firm-wide learning and development events as required • Research and keep up to date with the latest changes in local tax legislation; draft internal and external tax publications • Issue tax technical research and information/support to professionals throughout the firm • Prepare and participate in internal tax compliance and planning projects • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews Requirements Qualifications Skills: · Experience preparing and reviewing domestic tax compliance (T4s and T5s) and implementing tax reorganizations · Experience with private companies and owner-manager taxation is considered an asset · Solid understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles · Proven people management, relationship building, and leadership skills Education Qualification: • Bachelor of Commerce • Masters or Diploma in Business Administration or Accounting or equivalent experience Certifications: · CPA designation · Completion of level 1 and 2 of the In-Depth Tax Program Experience: · 8+ years of relevant tax practice experience in a public accounting firm
