Internship Overview This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on a multidisciplinary engineering design project supporting the nuclear industry. The project involves the design and development of specialized equipment intended for use during the shutdown and maintenance of a nuclear power plant in Canada. The assignment requires close collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation Engineering. The selected interns will be exposed to the complete engineering lifecycle, from concept development through detailed design and technical validation. Key Responsibilities As part of this internship, you will contribute to: • Developing the conceptual design of a maintenance support equipment solution. • Performing detailed 3D design and modeling activities. • Evaluating make-versus-buy options and supporting engineering decision-making. • Preparing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs). • Creating detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation. • Developing electrical wiring diagrams and associated documentation. • Supporting structural stress and seismic analyses in accordance with applicable nuclear industry codes and standards. • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges and improve design solutions. • Presenting design progress, findings, and recommendations to project stakeholders. Requirements • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in India, and are in your final year of study. • You are specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering. • You have a strong interest in engineering design and problem-solving. • You are comfortable working in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment. • You possess good communication skills and are eager to learn from experienced professionals. • You are interested in contributing to the nuclear energy sector.
