Role Overview
Electrical Integration Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, integration, and meticulous validation of advanced electrical and avionics systems for our next-generation Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). This highly collaborative role requires cross-functional expertise to ensure the seamless, high-performance integration of power systems, cutting-edge avionics, robust communication modules, and diverse payload electronics.
Key Responsibilities
• Work on integration of complex electrical subsystems including power distribution, state-of-the-art avionics, sensors, actuators, and critical communication systems onto various UAV platforms.
• Design, develop, and rigorously validate wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and detailed interconnect diagrams, ensuring reliability and manufacturability.
• Generate comprehensive electrical schematics, precise wiring diagrams, and high-level system architecture documentation.
• Engineer and validate high-performance UAV power systems, encompassing batteries, Battery Management Systems (BMS), Power Distribution Boards (PDBs), and advanced voltage regulators.
• Execute hands-on bench-level and system-level integration and testing of avionics hardware.
• Seamlessly integrate industry-leading flight controllers (e.g., PX4, ArduPilot) with sensors and wireless communication modules.
• Proactively troubleshoot complex electrical issues, applying systematic root cause analysis to ensure system robustness.
• Ensure absolute compliance of all electrical systems and documentation with stringent aerospace standards such as DO-160 and DO-254.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in electrical integration, with a strong preference for experience within the UAV or robotics industry.
• In-depth knowledge of power systems, embedded hardware design, and communication protocols (e.g., UART, CAN, SPI, I2C).
• Proficiency with professional schematic capture and layout tools such as Altium, KiCad, or Eagle.
• Expert, hands-on experience utilizing oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and other advanced debugging tools.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience with various UAV platforms (multirotor and/or fixed-wing).
• Working knowledge of RF systems, antenna theory, and telemetry integration.
• Familiarity with high-density LiPo/Li-ion battery technology and sophisticated BMS.
• Exposure to formal aerospace certification processes and regulatory standards.
Soft Skills
• Exceptional analytical and complex problem-solving abilities.
• Proven capacity to thrive and contribute effectively within cross-functional, agile teams.
• Excellent technical communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
Key Deliverables
• Certified Electrical Schematics and Manufacturing-Ready Wiring Harness Designs.
• Comprehensive System Integration Reports and Detailed Test Documentation.
• In-depth Power System Analysis and Performance Reports.
• Meticulous Issue Tracking and Resolution Logs (JIRA/Confluence).
