JD: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - HR Location: Kolkata Experience: 4–6 Years CTC: ₹4.8 LPA – ₹6.0 LPA Employment Type: Full-Time Reporting to: Sr. Manager- HR Job Overview We are looking for an Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - HR who can support the Senior HR team in managing day-to-day HR activities. The role will involve a mix of HR Operations, onboarding, induction, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, employee relations and management of off-roll employees. The person should be comfortable handling HR matters independently and should have good practical knowledge of labour compliances and HR processes. Key Responsibilities • • Manage employee onboarding, joining formalities and induction. • Handle day-to-day HR Operations and employee queries. • Maintain employee records and update employee information in the HRMS. • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs such as attendance, leave, LOP, new joiners, exits, salary changes, etc. • Coordinate and monitor PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity and other applicable statutory compliances. • Handle compliance-related documentation, registers, records and trackers. • Should have good working knowledge of CLRA / Contract Labour compliance. • Manage HR-related activities for off-roll/contractual employees, including attendance, leave, payroll inputs and documentation. • Coordinate with contractors/agencies for workforce-related and compliance requirements. • Should have exposure to Shops & Establishments Act and Factory-related compliance. • Coordinate with external consultants and statutory authorities wherever required. • Support labour inspections, audits, notices and other compliance-related matters. • Support Senior HRs in Employee Relations and Industrial Relations matters, including employee grievances, absenteeism, misconduct and disciplinary cases. • Maintain HR MIS, trackers and other HR-related reports. • Support implementation of HR policies and processes across locations. • Coordinate with Payroll, Finance, Admin, Operations and other internal teams for HR-related activities. What We Are Looking For: • • 4–6 years of relevant experience in HR Operations. • Candidate should be based in Kolkata. • Hands-on experience in HR Operations, payroll coordination and statutory compliance. • Good practical knowledge of PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity and other labour compliances. • Experience in CLRA and contractual/off-roll workforce management. • Exposure to Shops & Establishments and Factory compliance. • Experience in handling employee grievances and ER/IR matters. • Exposure to Government/Labour Department liaisoning will be preferred. • HRMS experience is mandatory. Experience in Keka will be an added advantage. • Good working knowledge of MS Excel and HR MIS. • Good communication and coordination skills. Preferred Background: Candidates from Manufacturing, Automotive, EV, Lithium Battery, Logistics, Field Operations, Service, Distribution or other workforce-intensive industries will be preferred.
