Job Description Business Technical Application Specialist-HVD Technical Lead required to oversee the vendor who is implementing on premise-based OITS services for application virtualization, desktop virtualization, and mobility managemen Complete Description : The primary RESPONSIBILITIES of this position include the following: • Provide technical oversight of the State’s Vendor who is tasked to architect, build, implement, and operate solutions for application virtualization, desktop virtualization, and mobility management (both on premise and cloud-based). • Review and provide feedback on the Vendor developed technical deliverables, project implementation plans, test plans, disaster recovery plan, operational support models, manuals and other project documents. • Develop Service Offerings for application virtualization, desktop virtualization and mobility management including but not limited to technical specifications, demand forecasts, service costs, technical roadmaps, service rates, and service level agreements. • Assist with the development of service enablement programs and material for business users and technical staff and deliver service enablement sessions to agencies. • Prepare and conduct executive-level presentations of technical recommendations and new service offerings. • Ensure technical documentation is easy to understand by the intended audience • Utilize MS SharePoint as a project content repository Qualifications Experience in IT including implementation of commercially available off-the-shelf solutions (software, hardware, network infrastructure) Experience in IT for both on premise and cloud-based desktop virtualization, application virtualization and mobility management solutions.
