Location: Knoxville, TN Number of positions available: 1 Schedule: Summer 2027 You will be involved in the following types of projects: Modifications of chemical manufacturing processes to resolve bottlenecks and increase production capacity Evaluation of treatment processes to solve air emission or wastewater discharge issues Specification of utility systems such as compressed air, nitrogen, distilled water, hot oil systems, and steam supply You will gain experience in: Process modeling of steady stat, batch, and dynamic processes using ChemCAD Chemical process development and pilot testing support Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) Heat and Material Balances (HMBs) Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P IDs) Functional equipment specifications Estimates for air emissions and waste generation rates
