Job Summary: The Rad Technologist I CT PRN utilizes Computed Tomography (CT) scanners to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis. Essential Job Functions Accountabilities: Follows a physician's instructions, prepares and operates Computed Tomography equipment, positions patients correctly and effectively records the requested diagnostic images. Start-up and calibrate Computed Tomography system daily. Reviews orders with Radiologist to determine proper protocol for each procedure. Performs Computed Tomography procedures in an efficient and timely manner. Administers IV contrast with proper dosage. Checks to see where dosage would be documented for a permanent record vs log book, which stays in Computed Tomography area. Orders and restocks supplies. Reports equipment failure to proper service organization and supervisor. Schedules service and preventive maintenance according to patient load and equipment availability when necessary. Enters and completes orders in Radiology computer system. Maintains QA records. Performs other job related duties as required.
