Job Summary: The Certified Medical Assistant II provides medical assistance under the supervision of the physician, physician's assistant, or nursing staff. Essential Job Functions Accountabilities: Assists with patient care by completing screening questions, medication reviews, obtaining vital signs, and recording height, weight, and other patient data as required. Prepares exam space for scheduled procedures. Documents all care provided in the electronic medical record. Delivers care appropriate for the patient’s age and development. Ensures exam rooms, supply rooms and other areas of the clinic are clean and well stocked. Cleans equipment according to instructions for use and ensures equipment has current safety inspection dates. Assists with scheduling appointments, completes electronic patient messages, medication refill requests and patient forms. Collects lab specimens as directed.
