Full description

NEAM has an opening for a Trading Systems Senior Engineer with 5+ years of experience and responsible for the ongoing support, configuration, and enhancement of NEAM’s Investment Trading Compliance platform. The role ensures the stability, resiliency, and regulatory integrity of NEAM’s pre‑trade and post‑trade compliance and trading workflows. The position works closely with Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams to support and enhance the platform. The position plays a critical role in NEAM’s migration from an on‑premises Charles River environment to a SaaS platform hosted in Azure, including the reengineering of bespoke automation using modern APIs and supported extensibility frameworks. Work within a small team to provide day‑to‑day operational support for NEAM’s Charles River Trading Compliance platform, ensuring high availability and timely issue resolution. Monitor system health, batch processing, interfaces, and overnight workflows to support trading continuity and compliance obligations. Remediate and modernize legacy customizations by replacing direct database dependencies with supported APIs and SaaS‑native tools. Serve as a technical escalation point to vendor for trading, portfolio management, and compliance inquiries related to Charles River functionality. Partner with Charles River product and support teams to evaluate platform releases, manage upgrades, and onboard new functionality. Ensure system behavior aligns with documented compliance procedures and supports audit, regulatory, and operational review requirements. Assist in root‑cause analysis for compliance events and trading issues, including “why did this violation occur” investigations. Participate in release reviews, change management, and risk assessments related to system upgrades and enhancements.
