SUMMARY Provides academic support in various subjects for participants of the TRIO Student Support Services program. Works directly with students assisting in one-to-one, small group, and classroom settings. Monitors, tracks, and evaluates the learning and progress of participants to promote student success. Supports the Program’s objectives and initiatives as directed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Conducts one-to-one and small group tutoring in math, science and general studies subject areas. Diagnoses student tutorial needs; Evaluates participant progress resulting from tutoring. Assists in the development of educational action plans. Develops and implements supplemental curricula, materials and instruction for basic skills courses. Conducts educational workshops. Maintains accurate and timely documentation of student progress and tutoring sessions. Works with and/or demonstrates various types of audio-visual materials, computer applications, and other materials or delivery systems used in an instructional program. Facilitates the learning process by conducting workshops and presentations for students enrolled in high-risk courses. Meets with faculty regarding student progress and course content/materials, as needed. Assists in the recruitment and retention of program students. Performs other duties as assigned.
