Elevator Worker- Mendota, IL This is a full-time hourly position. Pay 20.50 Position Summary: ADM is seeking a reliable, safety-minded Elevator Worker to join our grain operations team in Mendota IL. This position plays a vital role in the daily functioning of the grain elevator, supporting the receiving, handling, drying, storing, and loading of grain. The Elevator Worker ensures the safe and efficient movement of product and contributes to a clean and well-maintained facility. This is a hands-on, physically active role in a fast-paced agricultural environment. Duties and Responsibilities: • Operate truck dumps • Load and unload grain trucks • Operate MCC controls for equipment • Perform maintenance on grain conveying equipment • Keep work area clean • Measure bins • Operation of bin temperature monitoring equipment • Ability to lift 50 pounds • Ability to climb ladders and stairs • Ability to adapt to ever changing job responsibilities • Exhibit regular and prompt attendance • Willing to work overtime, weekends and nights • Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed • Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude • Ability to work with heights, work in confined spaces • Work in environmental conditions, such as hot and cold temperatures and a dust environment Qualifications: To be considered for an opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria: • High school education or equivalent is preferred • Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures • Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, shovel material, sweep and dust ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
