BAE Systems is seeking a Failure Analyst for our Controls and Avionics Solutions (CAS) business location in Fort Wayne, IN. Being a trusted provider of commercial aircraft solutions, the CAS business also develops and produces highly reliable, adaptable, and scalable avionics solutions for the leading manufacturers of commercial aircraft and their propulsion systems. As a member of BAE Systems’ team, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with complex electronic controls and solve challenging technical problems that both enhance our products performance and matter to our customers. Job responsibilities for the position may include: • Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis of components and assemblies used in avionics controls • Develop and execute root cause analysis plans following standard RC/CA processes. • Interface / collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal functions to maximize efficiencies and performance throughout the product lifecycle • Generate Root Cause results documentation – Failure Analysis Reports, etc. • Recommend corrective actions and recurrence mitigation strategies. Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite in the Fort Wayne, IN manufacturing facility and remote. Some light travel may be required (10%).
