This position is based at our Louisville, Kentucky facility on the 2nd Shift. A well-qualified candidate for the Nondestructive Testing Inspector Level II currently holds and maintains nondestructive testing (NDT) certifications in methods including magnetic particle (MT), liquid penetrant (PT), and visual (VT). Training and experience records to be provided. Qualification/Certification obtained in accordance with SNT TC 1A and NAS 410. Included duties: • Maintain and control NDT systems in accordance with written specifications. • Read and interpret engineering drawings including related specifications and process documents. • Evaluate product conformance using NDT MT, PT, and VT methods. • Perform structural/dimensional inspection of metallic and non-metallic materials. • Test hardness of various materials using full range of test equipment. • Perform limited dimensional inspection of raw material and machined components. • Work independently within the certified area of expertise with limited oversight. • Provide guidance, assistance, and training to customer, supplier, engineering, and manufacturing personnel. • Support the Louisville, KY site on Weekday Nights, Weekend Days, or Weekend Nights - possibility for OT.
